Description

Ravensburger manufactured this extraordinary puzzle in 1976. The English title on the box is simply Gobelin, which was the initially the name of a medieval family of dyers. The original and complete French title of this tapestry is Le Travail de la Laine, de la Tenture de la Noble Pastorale. You can admire the tapestry at the Louvre Museum, in Paris. As you can see, the image in the puzzle is flipped horizontally.

The puzzle is COMPLETE (2000 pieces). The pieces are in excellent condition, with numbers on the reverse. The box is in very good condition, with some wear and tape marks, as you can see in the photographs.

In 1972 Ravensburger published a 2000 piece version of The Chase, by Jean-Baptiste Oudry, with another tapestry from the Gobelins Manufactory.
