Naval scenes and battles are among the favorite themes of jigsaw puzzle collectors. Nathan manufactured this one in 1985. The title is Frigate in Amsterdam, by Abraham Storck. The puzzle has been out of catalog for a long time now. The complete title of the painting is Frigate “Peter and Paul” in the Port of Amsterdam. You can admire the original artwork at the National Maritime Museum, in Amsterdam.
This puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the image of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition.
Ravensburger published a 1000 piece puzzle version of the same artwork in 1972. Other paintings by Storck were used for a 1000 piece version of Venetian Pilgrim Ship by MB, and for a 1000 piece version of Shipping on the IJ in Amsterdam by King.
