Description

Ravensburger manufactured this rare puzzle probably in the 70’s, belonging to their Discovery & Invention series. The title is Montgolfier, Paris, 1783, by the Dutch graphic illustrator Kees Kelfkens. The illustration commemorates the first manned flight by a hot air balloon over the rooftops of Paris.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the image of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in good condition, with some shelf wear and tape remnants.

Interestingly, Ravensburger wrote ca. 350 pieces on the box, although the actual number is 360 pieces. This puzzle has most likely been one of the first edition of puzzles in the series, since other versions indicate the exact number 360 pieces on the boxes. Another puzzle in the same series, indicating ca. 350 pieces on the box, is the 350 piece version of De Arend, Amsterdam, 1839.
