Description

Nathan manufactured this puzzle in 1972, which means that it is over 50 years old. Back then the name of the company was Fernand Nathan, as you can read on the box. The title is The Art of Painting, by Johannes Vermeer, but this masterwork is also known as the Allegory of Painting or Painter in his Studio.  The original work can be admired in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition, but with signs of prior use. The box is in excellent condition, albeit with some dirt on the base.

There are other puzzles with iconic paintings by Johannes Vermeer, like the 1000 piece version of The Milkmaid by Puzzleman, and the 1000 piece version of Girl with a Pearl Earring by Innovakids.
