Description

Schmidt manufactured this beautiful puzzle probably in the late 70s or early 80’s, as part of their Fine Art series. The title is The Fish Market, by Jan Brueghel the Elder. You can admire the original painting at the Alte Pinakothek, in Munich. This puzzle is one of the rarest editions of the artwork by Jan Brueghel.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition, especially considering the puzzle is more than 40 years old, with just minor signs indicating that the puzzle was assembled before.  The box is in good condition, with a tear on a corner of the lid and the base. There is a sticker on one of the sides, and the base has some dirt from storage.

In 1982 Ravensburger manufactured a 5000 piece version of this puzzle, and there is also a very rare 2000 piece version by F.X. Schmid.
