Description

This is a very nice round puzzle by Clementoni, belonging to their Museum Collection. The title is Fresco at Doge’s Palace, by Andrea Mantegna. The image corresponds to the fresco of the ceiling in the Camera degli Sposi, which is a room at the Ducal Palace, in Mantua. Mantegna’s fresco on the ceiling gives the illusion of an opening (the oculus) through which the sky is seen and figures and cherubs peer down into the chamber.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition, albeit with a dent in one of the corners of the lid, and some scuffs from storage.

Ricordi published a 1500 piece puzzle version of this fresco by Mantegna.
