Description

Ravensburger published this delightful puzzle in 1993. The title is The Garden of Bey, by the English artist John Frederick Lewis. It is very difficult to find.

This artwork is a good example of both Lewis’s interest in oriental subjects and his meticulous attention to detail, as shown by the woman’s colorful Turkish costume and the rich profusion of flowers and decorated vases. Lewis depicts the effect of light and bright jeweled colors particularly well. He completed this painting in 1865, at the height of his mature style.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL.

In 2010 Educa produced a 1000 piece version of The Harem, also by John Frederick Lewis.
