Description

D-Toys manufactured this beautiful round puzzle in 2011, as one of their series of four puzzles from Masters of the Renaissance. The title is Madonna della Melagrana, or Madonna of the Pomegranate, by Sandro Botticelli. You can admire the original painting at The Uffizi, in Florence.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled.  The pieces are laid out in a grid structure and are in excellent condition. The box is in good condition, but the lid has some dents and scuffs on two of the corners, as you can see in the photographs. Originally, the box included a four-piece outer band to circle the assembled puzzle without interlocking with its pieces.  This outer band is no longer present in the box.

There are a lot of puzzles with paintings by Botticelli. In 2011 D-Toys published also a 1000 piece version of Judith, and in 2000 Ravensburger published a beautiful 1000 piece version of the Birth of Christ.
