Description

This is an extremely rare puzzle by Schmidt. It is probably the most impressive painting of a naval battle ever issued by jigsaw puzzle manufacturers. The title is The Battle of Lepanto, and the artist is Andrea Vicentino. It is a true gem, very difficult to find. You can admire the original painting ad the Doge’s Palace, in Venice.

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in decent condition, with some shelf wear and some scuffs in corners. The colors have faded out slightly and there are some stains on the base, as you can see in the photographs.

In 1998 Educa published a 6000 piece version of a painting with the same title by H. Letter.
