This is a beautiful and very rare puzzle by F.X. Schmid. The title is Kaiser Karl V, by the Venetian Renaissance painter Titian. The full title of the original painting in English is Emperor Charles V at the Battle of Muhlberg, and you can admire it in the Prado Museum in Madrid.
The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the image of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition except for some wear in the darker part of the puzzle, as the photographs show. The box is in very good condition.
F.X. Schmid published several beautiful art puzzles by great Italian painters, including a 3000 piece version of The Reception of the Imperial Ambassador, by Canaletto, and a 3000 piece version of The School of Athens, by Raphael. A smaller art puzzle from their catalogue is the 600 piece version of Florentine Mosaic.
