2014, Yanoman, The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō

This is an extraordinary puzzle by the Japanese brand Yanoman. The title is The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō, with the classic set of paintings by Utagawa Hiroshige. It is a series of ukiyo-e created by Utagawa Hiroshige after his first travel along the Tōkaidō in 1832.

Ukiyo-e translates as “picture of the floating word”. It is a genre of Japanese art which flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. Its artists produced woodblock prints and paintings of such subjects as female beauties; kabuki actors and sumo wrestlers; scenes from history and folk tales; travel scenes and landscapes; flora and fauna; and erotica.

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in excellent condition.

There is also a 5146 piece version by Yanoman that is also extremely rare.
