This is an old puzzle by Tower Press, probably from the 60’s. The title is Autumn Tints. There is no reference to the artist on the box, but the signature of Cedric Chater appears at the bottom left corner. Similar illustrations by Chater were used for Child Education posters, and we also know that Tower Press manufactured other puzzles with his paintings.
The puzzle is COMPLETE (1344 pieces; 48 x 28). Since there is a huge discrepancy between the number on the box and the piece count, I put together the borders in order to confirm, as you can see in the photographs. There is at least another version with 1232 pieces (44 x 22). The pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition, with some shelf wear and tape remnants on the base.
Another puzzle by Tower Press is the 2000 piece version of Old Sunny Spain.
