Description

This iconic painting is one of Britain’s favourite. The title is The Fighting Temeraire, by the British painter Joseph Mallord William Turner. The company Flame Tree Publishing produced it on behalf of The National Gallery, London, where you can admire the original work.

This 98-gun ship played a distinguished role in Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, after which she was known as The Fighting Temeraire. The ship remained in service until 1838.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There is a tear on the seal.

There are not many puzzles with paintings by Turner. Tate Britain published a 1000 piece version of Venice, The Bridge of Sighs.
