City life in the mid 19th century.

Here you see a corner of Amsterdam, whose appearance has changed very little sicne 1845. The street, which goes over the bridge, is the east side of the Leidsegracht where it flows into the Herengracht. Although this picture is of Amsterdam the scene is typical of most Dutch cities in the mid 19th century.

The other puzzle in the series is A Country House at the Vecht, Holland.
