Description

This is a very rare puzzle by the Œuvres Hospitaliéres Françaises de l’Ordre de Malte, belonging to their Collection Marine. The title is Le Retour du Bucentaure, le Jour de l’Ascension, by Canaletto. You can admire the original painting at the Pushkin Museum, in Moscow.

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in very good condition, with a few small tape tears.

Canaletto painted several versions of this theme, and there are several puzzle editions of other versions. The largest one is the 5000 piece edition by F.X. Schmid. However, as far as we know, this puzzle by OHFOM is the only puzzle edition of this specific painting by Canaletto.

Another puzzle by OHFOM in the Collection Marine is the 1000 piece version of Le Saint-Jean.
