Description

Pomegranate manufactured this beautiful puzzle in 2008. It is very rare. The title of the painting is Crystal Palace and Its Grounds at Sydenham, London, 1852, by James Duffield Harding.

Harding was a landscape painter and lithographer who also wrote popular teaching books on drawing and painting. You can admire the original painting at the British Architectural Library’s Drawing Collection (RIBA).

The original Crystal Palace was built for the Great Exhibition in 1851, which lasted five months. Later, they relocated the palace from its original site to Sydenham, London. A fire destroyed it in 1936.
