Description

Ravensburger manufactured this puzzle in 1981. The title in the box is Flagships in Battle, by Auguste Étienne François Mayer. The real title of the artwork is unknown. However, the two titles under which it is usually identified are Combat Glorieux du Vaisseau le Bucentaure contre trois Vaisseaux Anglais and Scene of the Battle of Trafalgar. The picture is one of six that Mayer painted in 1836 about the struggle and fights of ship of the line Bucentaure during the Battle of Trafalgar. You can admire the original painting at the Musée National de la Marine, in Paris.

The puzzle is COMPLETE (1008 pieces). The pieces are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition, but with shelf wear and minor dents.
