Description

Educa manufactured this puzzle in 2005, and it is already very difficult to find. The title is The Banker and His Wife, by Marinus Claeszoon van Reymerswaele. This puzzle is aligned with the Educa tradition of choosing classic masterpieces for their jigsaw puzzles.

The real title of the painting is The Tax Collector and his Wife, from 1539. There is an earlier version from 1538 with the title The City Treasurer and his Wife. Both versions by Marinus van Reymerswaele are part of the Museo del Prado.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There are minor tears in the seal.

There is also a very rare 2000 piece version of this puzzle by Jumbo.
