Description

Ravensburger manufactured this beautiful puzzle in 1983. The title is simply Sea Battle, and there is no reference to the artist on the box. The original German title, however, is Seeschlacht und Schiffbruch, which translates as Sea Battle and Shipwreck. The author was an unknown Flemish artist. The original painting stays at the Alte Pinakothek, in Munich.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There are some minor scuffs on corners and a tear on the seal.

Ravensburger has published a lot of puzzles with historical naval battles. An example is the 3000 piece version of Frigates in Battle, by Pieter Cornelisz van Soest.
