Description

The Japanese brand Konami manufactured this rare puzzle in 1992. The title is Lahaina Impressions, by Christian Riese Lassen. It is very difficult to find outside of Japan.

There is a small description in the box: “The harbor comes alive once again as the waters dance with shimmering light”. The manufacturer described Christian Riese Lassen as a “young rising star”. Since today he enjoys global recognition as an artist, it is likely that this one was the first jigsaw puzzle with his paintings.

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in excellent condition.

There are several puzzles with paintings by Christian Riese Lassen. The most important one is probably the 13200 piece version by Clementoni of Lahaina Visions, a puzzle that is now very rare. Ravensburger produced in 2002 a 5000 piece version of Daybreak, and Educa published in 2013 a 4000 piece version of Beyond Hana’s Gate.
