Nathan manufactured this very rare puzzle in puzzle in 1986. The title in the box is The Barnum and Bailey Circus. This poster was manufactured in 1896 by Strobridge Lithographic Company for Barnum & Bailey Circus, and the original title is A Child dreaming of a Circus.
In the late 19th century, in advance of a circus coming to town, printers produced eye-catching generic posters, developed with a lithograph method that produced brightly colored posters, and were glued to building walls, fences and window displays as advertisement.
The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There is a tear in the seal on a side.
