Description

Arrow produced this beautiful puzzle in 1984. The title in the box is The Picnic, by James Tissot. However, the real title of the painting is Holyday. It doesn’t appear very often and it is very difficult to find. You can admire the original painting at the Tate Gallery, in London.

Tissot painted this work in 1876, just 5 years after he moved to England, when he was 35 years old. Before moving to London, he was a successful painter of Paris society. The painting shows a group of elegantly dressed men and women during a picnic at the pond in the painter’s garden. It is a masterpiece that reveals attention to detail and vivid colors.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL.

There are several puzzles with paintings by Tissot. One of them is the 2000 piece version by Jumbo of The Ball on Shipboard.
