Educa manufactured this puzzle in 1988. The title is Typus Orbis Terrarum, by Abraham Ortelius, although the title in the box is simply Planisphere. Some years later Educa published a second edition of this puzzle with a different reference number; first in a white box (1998), and then in a black box (2006).

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in very good condition, with minor wear and scuffs on corners.

There is a very rare 2000 piece version with a similar version of this Typus Orbis Terrarum by Japanese brand Tenyo. Besides, another map by Abraham Ortelius appears in the magnificent 18000 puzzle by Ravensburger, Historical World Maps, which is very difficult to find nowadays.
