Description

This is a very nice puzzle by F.X. Schmid. The title is Antique World Map. The complete title, however, is Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Geographica Ac Hydrographica Tabula, by Henricus Hondius the Younger.

One of the most famous and ornately detailed world maps of the 17th century. Excellent example of the first state of Henricus Hondius’ decorative world map, first issued in the 1630 edition of the Mercator-Hondius Atlas.

The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED inside the original plastic bag. The box is in excellent condition, except for a very minor tape tear on one of the sides.

There is a similar 3000 piece version of this map by the Russian manufacturer Step.
