Description

This is an extraordinary puzzle that Ravensburger manufactured in 1976. Although the title in the box is simply The Adoration of the Magi, it represents the Altarpiece of the Seven Joys of the Virgin, depicting the Adoration of the Magi, The Presentation in the Temple and Christ Appearing to Mary, by the Master of the Holy Family the Younger. It is very difficult to find in new condition, since it is already more than 40 years old.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL. There are some tears to the seal and some minor shelf wear.

The theme of the painting and the triptych format of this puzzle remind us, inevitably, of the wonderful 18000 piece St. Columba Altarpiece, by Educa.
