This is a very nice puzzle by Schmidt,. The title is Allegory of Sight, by Jan Brueghel the Elder & Peter Paul Rubens. It is one of five allegories, called The Five Senses, painted by the two Flemish masters. These five paintings are on display at the Museo del Prado, in Madrid.
The puzzle is like NEW, with all the pieces SEALED in the original plastic bag. The box is in very good condition, except for a sticker on the base.
Several companies have used this same painting to manufacture puzzles in different sizes, most of which are now quite difficult to find. Another edition of this puzzle is the 2000 piece version by Clementoni. An example of a puzzle with one of the other allegories is the 1000 piece version of Hearing by Educa.
