Description

MB manufactured this interesting puzzle in 1976, which is now very hard to find. The title isĀ Alchemist, by David Teniers the Younger. The theme of physicians and alchemists was quite popular in 17th century Flemish and Dutch genre painting, and Teniers was among the principal contributors. You can admire the original painting at the Museo del Prado, in Madrid.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the picture of the puzzle assembled. The piecesĀ  are in excellent condition. The box is in very good condition. It has a small tear in one of the corners and some minor scuffs on the edges of the lid, as one would expect in a 50 year old box.

MB published a 1500 piece version of The Card Players, also by David Teniers the Younger.
