Description

Springbok manufactured this gorgeous puzzle in 1969, so it has been out of catalog for more than 50 years now. The title is The Story of Bahram Gur. The original is a tiled painting from the early 17th century, which depicts the love story of King Bahram Gur and Fitna from the Persian Book of Kings. You can admire the panel of tiles at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, in Minneapolis.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the photograph of the puzzle assembled. The pieces are in very good condition. The box is in good condition considering its age, but it has some damage on two corners. There are also marks from humid humid storage conditions, as you can see in the photographs.

Another gorgeous puzzle featuring painted tile panels is the 3000 piece version by Jumbo of the Tiles of Barcelona. Springbok has published many more beautiful art puzzles in the past. An example is the 500 piece version of Winter Landscape, by Lucas van Valckenborch.
