Educa manufactured this puzzle in 1996, and there is an earlier edition published in 1990. The title on the box is Alexander the Great visiting the Studio of Apelles, by Willem van Haecht. However, the real title of the painting is Apelles Painting Campaspe, and you can admire the original at the Mauritshuis museum, in The Hague.

The puzzle is NEW, with its original FACTORY SEAL.

Educa published in 2012 also a 6000 piece version of this puzzle.
