Description

This rare vintage puzzle was produced by Tower Press in 1955, in their Academy series. The title is Riverside Memories. There is no reference to the artist on the box, but the depicted scene reminds of works by the Rococo painters.

The puzzle is COMPLETE, as you can see in the image of the puzzle assembled. The puzzle is composed of a frame part and a separate painting part, as you can see in the pictures. A previous owner marked two pairs of pieces to help align the two parts. The pieces are otherwise in very good condition, especially given the age of the puzzle. The box is in good condition, but it is a bit dirty, has some writing on the lid and some scuffs and tape marks on the base, as the pictures illustrate.

Tower Press produced some nice art puzzles in their time. Examples are the 1200 piece version of Autumn Tints and the 660 piece version of Springtime.
